Even if it were my own daughter...for the sake of the village...I would perform the Ritual...

—Ryokan Kurosawa

Ryokan Kurosawa is a hostile male spirit in Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly. He is the Head Priest of All God's Village and the father of Sae and Yae Kurosawa.

Biography[]

Ryokan Kurosawa was the Head Priest of the village, and himself a Remaining, thus a former Altar Twin. He performed the Crimson Sacrifice Ritual, killing his younger brother. He was the one who had decided to use his daughters, Sae and Yae, for the sacrifice after the Tachibana's sacrifice had failed.

Ryokan is seen throughout the Kurosawa house under many names such as Ritual Pusher, and Talking Man. Every Vanishing Ghost in the Kurosawa House urging Mio and Mayu to complete the ritual is Ryokan Kurosawa.

The player also fights him in the Rope Room, before continuing on to the Stone Passage. In battle, he is known as Mr. Kurosawa.
