Kagome, Kagome (かごめかごめ) is a real life Japanese children's game. The song is sung by the children in Fatal Frame.

In order to play, a child who was the "it", in other words the "Demon" (Oni 鬼), would stand or sit with their eyes covered or blindfolded. The other children would form a circle around the "it" and then dance around the circle singing the song, then the "it" would have to guess which of the children is standing behind them. If the "it" guessed correctly, then the person behind them would be the new "Demon".

Fatal FrameEdit

  • Right before Miku wakes up on the second night, a group of children formed a circle and started singing the song Kagome, Kagome.
  • In the Doll Room of the second night, the doll puzzle when played is similar to Kagome, Kagome. The doll Miku needs to find is in the front of the back.

かごめかごめ 籠の中の鳥は
いついつ出やる? 夜明けの晩に
Kagome Kagome Kago no naka no Tori wa
Itsu Itsu deyaru? Yoake no ban ni
Tsuru to Kame ga subetta.
Ushiro no shoumen dare?
Kagome, Kagome, the bird in the cage,
when will you come out?
In the evening of the dawn,
the crane and turtle slipped.
Who stands right behind you now?
