This is the eighth Folk Scholar's Writing Mio Amakura finds in Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly.

DescriptionEdit

The journal of a folk scholar. It was written while he was trapped in a cell.

ContentEdit

In ancient times, mountain villages would customarily sacrifice travelers in traditional festivals.

I'm sure I heard the priest say things like 'Outsiders' and 'Kusabi' when they dragged me in here.

What exactly does this Shadow Ritual that the twins mentioned actually entail?

The key they gave me must be for the side door of this house. According to the map, they key to this cell is in a cavern under the Osaka house. I'd imagine that this is a storeroom that uses part of this deep path I've been reading about.
